🔑 一套強調工具箱

It-cleft:It was X that/who…（強調人/事/時/地)
What-/All-cleft:What/All … is X（強調需要/重點)
Emphatic do:主詞 + do/does/did + 原形(強調「真的有/確實」)
Extraposition:用 it 佔位,把長主詞移到句尾
Fronting / 倒裝:把成分提前(必要時倒裝)

🧩 文法點:選對強調招式

① Cleft 家族(挑出焦點,C1 複習 + 擴充):

It-cleft:It was in 2020 that everything changed.（強調時間)
What-cleft:What I admire is her honesty.（強調事物)
All-cleft（＝「只不過/唯一」）:All you have to do is ask.（你只要問就好)
The thing/reason … is:The reason it failed was poor planning.

② Emphatic do(在肯定句裡加強語氣):

I do understand your concern.（我真的懂——常用於「其實我懂,但…」)
She did call — you just missed it.（她確實打了)
用於反駁誤解、加強保證、對比。過去用 did + 原形(did call, 不是 did called)。

③ Extraposition(把長主詞用 it 佔位):

頭重 ⚠:To finish this alone is impossible.
平衡 ✅:It's impossible to finish this alone.
同理:It's no use crying. / It appears that they left.

④ Fronting + 必要時倒裝(承上 + 強調):

一般 fronting(語序不變):Her honesty I admire; her temper I don't.
否定副詞 fronting(要倒裝,C1 L01):Never have I seen such talent.
so/such fronting(倒裝):So great was the demand that they sold out.

⑤ 怎麼選(這是 C2 的判斷):

強調某個成分是誰/什麼 → cleft(It was X…)。
強調**「確實有做」** → emphatic do。
主詞太長 → extraposition(it 佔位)。
承接上文 + 對比 → fronting。
別疊太多:一句一種強調就夠;連用會顯得用力過猛。

⑥ 中文母語者常犯:

emphatic do 後接原形:❌ I do appreciated → ✅ I do appreciate;過去 I did appreciate。
All-cleft ≈「只不過」,別跟一般 what-cleft 混:All I want is(單數 is)。
so/such 倒裝易漏動詞倒裝:So great was the demand(不是 So great the demand was)。

🗣️ 發音提醒

emphatic do 一定重讀:I DO like it. / She DID call.——重音沒到,強調就沒了。
cleft 的焦點重讀:It was YOUR support that…;What I admire is her HONESTY。
so/such 倒裝句語氣上揚有張力:SO great was the demand…。

✍️ 開口練習

練習 1:用指定招式強調。

（emphatic do)我真的有讀那本書。 → I did read the book.
（It-cleft)是那通電話改變了一切。 → It was that call that changed everything.

練習 2:用 extraposition 修長主詞。

To please everyone is impossible. → It's impossible to please everyone.

練習 3:挑一句你想強調的話,選一種招式說出來。
