如果…就…(條件句)

講條件——「如果 A,就 B」。學完你能說 If it rains, I'll stay home.,並記住一個中文母語者最常錯的鐵律:if 後面不能用 will。

💬 先聽一段對話

Mia: Are you coming to the picnic?（你要來野餐嗎?) Jun: If the weather is good, I'll come.（天氣好的話我就來。) Mia: And if it rains?（那如果下雨呢?) Jun: If it rains, we'll do it next week. By the way, if you heat ice, it melts!（下雨我們就改下週。對了,冰加熱就會融化嘛!)

🔑 兩種基本條件句

• 零條件(講事實/總是這樣):If + 現在式, 現在式。
  • If you heat water, it boils.（水加熱就滾——恆真。)
• 第一條件(講可能的未來):If + 現在式, will + 原形。
  • If it rains, I**'ll stay** home.（如果下雨,我就待家。)

🧩 文法點:條件句的骨架 + 那條鐵律

① 兩半:一半是「條件(if…)」,一半是「結果」。

• 零條件:兩半都用現在式——講科學事實、習慣、總是如此。
  • If I 'm tired, I go to bed early.
• 第一條件:if 那半用現在式、結果那半用 will + 原形——講「有可能發生的未來」。
  • If you study, you 'll pass.

② ⚠ 鐵律:if 後面用「現在式」,不用 will(即使講的是未來)。

• ✅ If it rains tomorrow, I'll stay home.
• ❌ If it will rain tomorrow, I'll stay home.
• 中文「如果明天『會』下雨」的「會」讓人想加 will——別加。未來的意思由後半的 will 表達,if 那半永遠現在式。

③ 順序可以對調(if 在前要加逗號):

• If it rains, I'll stay home. = I'll stay home if it rains.（if 在後不用逗號)

④ if vs when:

• if = 不一定會發生(如果):If I have time, I'll call.
• when = 一定會 / 到時候(當…時):When I get home, I'll call.（回到家時——一定會到家)

練習 1:填對時態(記住鐵律)。
