常用片語動詞

片語動詞——「動詞 + 小字(up/on/off/out…)」組成、意思常常變一個樣的組合。它們超級常用,學會一批,你的英語立刻更道地、更聽得懂母語者。

Amy: I get up at six every day.（我每天六點起床。) Ken: Wow, early! I always turn off my alarm and go back to sleep.（哇,好早!我總是關掉鬧鐘繼續睡。) Amy: Ha! By the way, can you look after my cat this weekend?（哈!對了,這週末可以幫我照顧貓嗎?) Ken: Sure. I'll pick up the key tomorrow.（好啊。我明天去拿鑰匙。)

📒 一定要會的片語動詞

片語動詞	中譯	例句
get up	起床	I get up at seven.
wake up	醒來	I woke up late.
turn on / off	打開/關掉(電器)	turn off the light
put on / take off	穿上/脫下	put on your coat
look for	尋找	I'm looking for my keys.
look after	照顧	look after the kids
find out	查出、發現	I'll find out.

🧩 文法點:代名詞要放中間(可分離片語動詞)

很多片語動詞(turn on/off、put on、take off、pick up…)可以分開。規則跟 A1 學的一樣:

• 受詞是名詞:兩種位置都行——turn on the light = turn the light on。
• 受詞是代名詞(it/them…):一定放中間——
  • ✅ turn it on / take it off / pick them up
  • ❌ turn on it / take off it

但有些片語動詞不能分開(inseparable),受詞永遠放後面:

• look for、look after、come back:
  • ✅ look after her / look for it　❌ look her after。
• 這類先記住 look for / look after 兩個常用的,其餘遇到再累積。

🗣️ 發音提醒

• 片語動詞的重音常在後面的小字:turn OFF、pick UP、get UP。
• 連讀:pick it up → 「pi-ki-dup」;turn it on → 「tur-ni-ton」——先聽懂。
• wake / woke:wake /wek/(現在)、woke /wok/(過去),母音不同。

✍️ 開口練習

練習 1:配對意思。 不看中譯,說出:get up / turn off / look for / give up / pick up 的意思。

練習 2:代名詞放中間。

• turn on the TV → turn it on
• take off your shoes → take them off
• ❌ pick up it → ✅ pick it up

練習 3:用三個片語動詞講你的早晨。

I wake up, turn off the alarm, and get up. Then I ＿＿.

• 可分離的:代名詞放中間(turn it off、pick them up)。
• 不可分離的(look for / look after):受詞永遠放後面。
